Riot Fest Keeps Rocking

Concord is unique in the diversity of shows that pass through our hallways. Chicago promoters Riot Fest contribute to keeping our venue rocking, with bands like The Hold Steady and The Dirty Heads coming up on our calendar.

Formed in 2004 in Brooklyn, New York, indie rockers The Hold Steady return to tour after a brief hiatus. SPIN referred to their sixth studio album, Teeth Dreams, as “streamlined storytelling”. They are recognized for their powerful lyricism, with the latest album featuring reoccurring characters and themes of Catholicism and loneliness on the album.

Their live performances are regarded by Pitchfork as “still one of the most dependable ragers in indie rock.” Make sure you catch them at Concord on July 2nd!

The Dirty Heads are are a reggae/ska group on tour for their third album Home- Phantoms of Summer. They are known for their easy going Southern California vibes, likely a result of their origins at Huntington Beach, California.

Their debut album featured the breakthrough single “Lay Me Down”, which spent eleven weeks at #1 on the Billboard Alternative chart, a record for an independent release. Since then, they’ve continued to evolve their sunny sound and promote positive vibes on tour.

Come experience it yourself at Concord on July 18th as The Dirty Heads provide the perfect summer soundtrack.
