Jay Rock's 'The Big Redemption' Tour Coming to Concord Music Hall

After finishing the Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) Championship Tour in June, rapper and record producer, Jay Rock is leaving his fellow TDE label mates and heading out on the road by himself. On Sunday, November, 11th, Jay Rock is bringing ‘The Big Redemption Tour’ to Concord Music Hall.

In 2005, Jay Rock was signed to Top Dawg Entertainment, choosing to pursue a career as a rapper, Rock relied on his music to keep him off of the streets; this ultimately saving his life. Three years after signing to TDE, Black Hippy was formed; a four member, American hip-hop supergroup composed of West Coast rappers Ab-Soul, Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q. Over the years, the four have been a huge part of each other’s careers. While they have never released an album as a group, they are constantly collaborating and helping each other with solo projects. Members of Black Hippy have been featured on multiple singles, mixtapes and albums of Jay Rock’s, including his most recent studio album, ‘Redemption’, released earlier this year.

Since signing with TDE, Rock has released three studio albums, 10 mixtapes, 16 singles – six of which has been a featured artist and 30 music videos.

Shortly after releasing his second album, ‘90059’ in 2015, Rock was badly injured in a motorcycle accident. During his recovery, the rapper decided that he wasn’t going to just sit around; his fans were waiting on new music and they were waiting on him. This is when Rock made it his goal to come back bigger and better than ever.

In June, Jay Rock released his third studio album, ‘Redemption’. Wanting to connect more with his fans, his mission was to create an album about the struggles that has overcome and how he is staying on a positive path.

Along with ‘Redemption’, the rapper released a three-episode mini-docuseries about his life entitled, ‘Road to Redemption’.

As if fans weren’t already over the moon, the excitement hit an all-time high when the rapper released a music video for one of his new tracks, followed by eight more. On October 22, Rock released the ninth music video off of the ‘Redemption’ album for the song, ‘Wow Freestyle’, featuring rapper and fellow Black Hippy member, Kendrick Lamar.

With as much excitement as Jay Rock has been throwing our way, we can only imagine what his show is going to be like. Join us for Chicago's stop of 'The Big Redemption' Tour at Concord Music Hall with Jay Rock on November 11th.
