The Big Weekend Coming to Concord Music Hall

Five venues, three nights, and 11 bands; The Big Weekend Festival is coming to Chicago October 4th – 6th. Calling all you classic/electronic funk fans, Concord Music Hall is featuring Lettuce, The Motet, Sunsquabi, and Russ Liquid at this year’s festival.  Grab our Big Weekend Concord Pass NOW getting you entry to all three nights!

Kicking the weekend off is legendary, classic-funk group, Lettuce. Based on their summer setlists, fans can expect a suspenseful show full of songs from their first album, ‘Outta Here’, released in 2002, to their most recent, ‘Witches Stew’, released in 2017.

After you’ve rested from Big Weekend Chicago night one, come back to Concord on October 5th for the late show featuring, American funk, afrobeat and jazz group, The Motet. The seven-man funk band has been together since 1998 and have released a total of nine studio albums. In May, they released their first single since 2016, ‘That Dream’.

To wrap up the weekend, electronic groups, SunSquabi and Russ Liquid are headlining the late show on Saturday, October 6th. Fans can anticipate original music from both groups as well as collaborations like their 2016 single, ‘Pygmy Up’,  Get ready for an epic show with a mixture of electric dance music, heavy beats and melodic guitar riffs.
